Sabot #8569 Restoration for

This Phoenix Naples Sabot overall was in good shape, but needed a major refresh. Since the bottom was being completely gel coated, the owner decided to change colors and remove the fiberglass center thwart. The boat originally had a fiberglass center traveler and has since been replaced with a more modern stern traveler.
Inside boat was sandblasted and inside re-gel coated. Outside hull was repaired and re-gel coated and a stripe added in kid’s school colors. Wood was repaired, sanded, and oiled. New center thwart was installed replacing the old fiberglass thwart. Boat was completely re-rigged to race ready standards.
This picture is showing the repair work to be done on the interior, adding better support for the floorboard, and removing the pieces that were no longer needed. The picture on the right is the finished gel coating on the interior.
